In the freeze-drying method, the product is frozen and then dried with a freeze-dryer. During drying under vacuum, the water in the product sublimates from solid ice to water vapor, meaning the water in the frozen product does not melt in between. This ensures the product's structure remains good and the method gently preserves the nutrients in the product.

Freeze-dried vegetables have a very long shelf life, lasting for years. The best-before date for our products is three years from manufacturing, when unopened. Once opened, the product maintains its quality well thanks to the resealable pouch, provided it is stored in a dry place. The product easily absorbs moisture, so it should be kept in a sealed pouch.

Our products are made from organic vegetables grown in Haukivuori. The organic leek and organic kale are grown at Kalliolan Luomu's vegetable farm, and the organic beetroot and organic parsnip at Lietlahti Farm. Ease Organic Oy has the product manufactured by first peeling and chopping the organic ingredients in Haukivuori. Freeze-drying is carried out by a subcontractor, after which we send the products from Haukivuori to customers.
